Website, projects.....etc, etc

Well the website has been live for a few days now and I am making a few minor alterations as we go...... mainly to the mobile site to ensure it is easy to read and use, but also to let visitors now more about what is available. Computer (laptop) version and mobile version act differently, because one has a mouse and one doesn't! - interesting how you find differences in operation as you test and try things out. Website development is certainly interesting and time consuming........ but lots of fun as well - but that's partly because of my computing background - way back when...........!

I have lots of projects on the go at the moment, as I imagine a lot of you have.......

I am making the quilts for the two courses I have listed - silly of me though, I picked two that were all (or nearly all) Half Square Triangles....! They are so time consuming to prepare, but a breeze to put together if you prepare well. I do like the versatility of this block, just not the preparation....... but that is part of quilting isn't it.......... put the effort into preparation and the final quilt construction goes so much smoother.

I have made the 42 premmie baby quilts, then found some spare fabric to match what I was doing, so I have 3 more nearly finished, which will take the total to 45. I also found some lovely giraffe flanellete, so I made miniture receiving covers - nine in all. I must get them finished in the next day or so. I'll do a separate post once they are finished and load some photos.

I am looking at classes for 2026 at The Stitch House, in Castledine. Met with Tracey and Odette and I have 5 listed for the year. A repeat of my favourite Tower block - "Gateway to Colour" quilt will be first up, followed by a foundation paper piecing class.

I was playing (as always) in EQ8 my design software the other night and started designing FPP (foundation paper piecing) quilts...... this one I quite like and may take further. I play with a lot of designs, but unfortunately can't take them all forward - I dont have enough hours in the day...................

Well my day is closing, it is getting late and I must finish off a few things, ready to go to The Stitch House tomorrow. Tuesday is the sip and sew group and I like catching up with everyone.

Happy Quilting everyone,

Have a good week,

Regards,

Brenda Marie
