Beginner's Class!

I ran a beginner's class in patchwork/quilting for a lovely groups of ladies that sew for charity. We had lots of fun and everyone completed the course and "graduated".

The quilt pattern was one I designed and involved 5 different quilt block designs, so there were different techniques to learn.

The "Shoo-Fly" block is in the centre, there are "Maple Leaf" blocks in each corner, with "Churn Dash" and a "NIne-Patch" creating an inner border. Quite effective as a design.

The colours here are cheerful and I called the quilt "The Picnic Quilt".

The students all chose their own fabric and the colour variations were awesome.

Some of the variations in colour and fabric. It is amazing the differences when you change fabric/colour. They look so different but are all the same pattern.

At the end of the course, they gave me a present.......... which is absolutely perfect - one of my "addictions" LOL!

I will publish the pattern and make it available through my shop shortly.
