Summertime
This one follows on with my fascination (obsession) with Half Square Triangles and the Easy 8 Method!
..... the rest of the story
The starting point for this quilt was the block designs, looking purely at it from a HST perspective. I wanted to work a quilt that was solely created using 3" (finished) HST's.

I found these two blocks, then created the quilt in my EQ software. From a colour perspective I was looking to distinguish between the two blocks, but not overwhelm either, so I auditioned a number of fabric colours before settling on the Pink and Orange for one and the Lemon and Lime for the other. The image makes the orange look more of a tan, but it is orange.

The quilt design is flowers and bees, a perfect design for a summertime quilt.

This block pattern really allows you to focus on your points. Not all of mine are perfect, but were close enough.

The borders were one from each block, I chose the lemon and orange.
The binding could have been either the green or the pink. I had plenty of the pink spare, so that really made the choice easier!
